Rock River Coalition Hosting Online Auction

(Dodge County) A local organization focused on improving environmental, recreational, cultural, and economic resources of the Rock River Basin is holding a fundraiser. The Rock River Coalition is hosting an online auction to support their programs and projects. It starts on Monday, November 6th, and ends at 5:30pm on November 17th.

A number of items have been donated to the cause from local businesses and sponsors including books, collectables, food, gift baskets, sporting goods, and tickets to area events. There is also an option to sponsor a stream monitoring team, adopt an individual stream monitor, or adopt a stream.

Officials say this is a great opportunity to directly help and support the Rock River Coalitionโ€™s award-winning programs and projects monitoring stream quality throughout the Rock River Basin. Rock River Coalition is an organization dedicated to the Rock River Basin for close to 30 years. Over those years the Coalition has been working with economic, cultural, recreational, and environmental entities throughout the area to provide events, resources, and facilitate problem solving coalitions related to water quality.

They have facilitated shoreline restoration and native rain garden development, storm water control projects, leaf and salt reduction in waterways, river clean-up events, and water trail development.

Trained Rock River Coalition stream monitor volunteers perform water quality monitoring in the Rock River Basin counties of Jefferson, Waukesha, Walworth, Rock, Dane, and most recently, Dodge County.
