Ribbon Cut On Renovated Beaver Dam Hotel

(Beaver Dam) The ribbon was cut Thursday on a renovated Beaver Dam hotel. Comfort Inn and Suites is located at 815 Park Avenue. The hotel’s general manager and owner, David Patel, says when their ownership group took over operations of the building it took roughly 10 months to complete full renovations.

“It was an intensive renovation…not just superficial,” says Patel. “We had to gut a lot of things. We had to reduce the room count to meet market demand. New walls, new pool area, all new furniture, and new painting…everything you can think of in a renovation…it’s like it’s a new build without being a new build.”

Under previous ownership, the hotel had gone through challenges. While operating under the title Quality Inn and Suites, the building was shut down by the state in 2019 due to missing safety and construction approvals relating to the pool area. It was re-opened a few weeks later. Patel asks prospective guests to give them a chance.

“I know in the past it was bad…I lived in Beaver Dam for 15 years…I know how bad this property was,” says Patel. “But we have done the best that we can do to make it fully-renovated, fully-gutted. So, all I’m asking is give us a chance with your groups…with your family. I think we’ll surprise you.”

Patel adds that anyone staying at their hotel should expect friendly service because “that’s what hospitality is.” He says Comfort Inn and Suites officially opened its doors in January. To call the hotel directly dial 920-887-7171.
