(Lowell) A Reeseville man made his initial appearance in court this week on charges he injured. Craig Skalitzky is facing a felony count of Battery to Law Enforcement and a misdemeanor charge of Resisting. A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched for a well fair check to Skalitzky’s home on July 23rd. According to the criminal complaint, Skalitzky answered the door wielding a pitchfork. Skalitzky, who had a warrant out for his arrest, allegedly shut the door on the deputy who then kicked it open. The deputy was reportedly punched once in the chest and another time in the face by Skalitzky. A Taser was deployed to subdue Skalitzky and he was taken into custody. If convicted, the 45-year-old faces over six years behind bars. Cash bond was set at $1,000.
