Progress Being Made In Beaver Dam Library Next Chapter Renovation Project

(Beaver Dam) Progress continues to be made for the Next Chapter Renovation Project at the Beaver Dam Community Library. Fundraising efforts have been underway to help cover the costs of a relocated entrance directly off the parking lot, restroom additions and upgrades, the addition of community and study rooms, a technology center, and future flexibility.โ€ฏย

Library Administrator Sarah Cournoyer says they have seen strong support from the community.

โ€œWe have now raised over $743,000 since kicking off our fundraising campaign last April,โ€ says Cournoyer. โ€œOur goal is a $1-million-dollars or moreโ€ฆand weโ€™re hoping to have some more information coming soon on our construction schedule.โ€

The library recently received a $125,000 grant from the Beaver Dam Community Hospitals Foundation for the Childrenโ€™s Area. The Childrenโ€™s Area and play space will include items such as sensory materials, active play equipment, manipulative toys, dolls and dramatic play materials, books, recordings, and art materials.โ€ฏ
