Product Made In Dodge County Makes Final Four Of ‘Coolest Thing’ Contest

(Horicon) Four finalists have been named for the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest, including a product made in Dodge County. Over 130 products were initially nominated for the competition, which looks to highlight the stateโ€™s diverse manufacturing industry. That was narrowed down to eight earlier this month and now contest officials have announced their final four.

One of the four finalists includes the John Deere X700 Signature Series tractors, manufactured in Horicon. According to the โ€˜Coolest Thingโ€™ website, the flagship X739 model is equipped with both four-wheel steering and full-time four-wheel drive. The X739โ€™s four-wheel steering can trim a 12-inch or larger diameter tree without repositioning the tractor and also makes mowing the inside turns of landscaping and flower beds more efficient.

The other three products include Military Medals and Insignia produced by Medalcraft Mint in Green Bay, Jolly Good Soda made by Krier Foods in Random Lake, and Revo manufactured by Vulture Systems of Menomonee Falls.

The final round in the contest began Thursday and individuals can vote online once per day, per device through Noon next Thursday. The winner will be crowned during Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce Business Day in Madison that same day.
