Patriot Tour Entering Gallup, New Mexico On Friday

(Gallup, New Mexico) The Patriot Tour is headed to Gallup, New Mexico today after a stop in Flagstaff, Arizona on Wednesday. The non-profit Nation of Patriots coordinates the fundraising journey that sees a series of flag-bearers carry one American flag by motorcycle, city-to-city, through all 48 contiguous states. The ride recently completed a tour of California where there were a dozen flag exchanges. Veteran and flag bearer, Bill Grijalba (pictured right), received Old Glory in Riverside and carried it to Lancaster, California. It was Grijalbaโ€™s first time as flag bearer after teaming up with the organization in 2017. He said that ever since he was a kid he wanted to be a soldier. As a veteran, Grijalba says he will continue to support anything to do with the โ€˜red, white and blueโ€™ and those who bravely fight for our country. You do not have to attend a formal event to support the effort, donations can be made online at www.nationofpatriots.org. The flag departed downtown Beaver Dam in May and is due back for a ceremony at the cityโ€™s Swan Park the Saturday after Labor Day. The Patriot Tour is hoping to surpass the one-million-dollar mark in money raised for veterans over the past ten years.
