Lake Days Friday Features Music, Pontoons, Cardboard Boat Race

(Beaver Dam) There is a full calendar of activities on tap Friday at Beaver Dam Lake Days. The three-day festival on the shores of Beaver Dam Lake at Tahoe Park kicked-off with their traditional Teen Dance yesterday. This year’s event features an inflatable carnival midway, food and live music. Jesse Kaftanski, who sits on the music planning committee, says they have work hard to find a diverse selection of music. The Starkweather Bay Blues Band will start at 4:30pm, Alexis will play at 6pm, music by Copper Box will begin at 7:30pm, the Boogie Man will perform at 9pm and Madison County will headline at 10:30pm. Kaftanski says there will be two stages meaning there will be no gaps in live music.

Today, there will be a carboard boat regatta race. Those participating can pick up their materials for the race beginning at 5:30pm with boat building taking place until 7pm. The race will get underway at 7:15pm. Awards will be handed out after the race.

Visitors can also sign-up for pontoon rides beginning at 3pm this afternoon. All activities are included with the price of admission which is $8. More information is available at www.beaverdamlakedays.com.
