(Town of Farmington) One person was killed in a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Jefferson County. Authorities say the vehicle was southbound on County Highway D just north of Depot Road in the Town of Farmington around 1pm, when it left the roadway and struck and embankment. The vehicle rolled over and came to a rest on its side. The lone occupant of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital where they were later pronounced dead.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Jefferson EMS, Helenville, Sullivan and Rome fire Departments.
