COVID-19 Numbers Friday Update

(Dodge County) Wisconsin health officials are reporting 826 positive coronavirus cases in Friday’s daily update, which is 7.8-percent of the 10,500 tests announced. There are 7,918 active cases in the state, a decrease of 154 from Thursday. Active cases make up 11.5-percent of the 69-thousand people who have tested positive to date. So far, there have been 60-thousand recoveries.

State health officials recorded one more death, for a total of 1,068. Deaths accounted for 1.5-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 8-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized. Nationwide, the CDC says there have been 173-thousand deaths while the worldwide death toll is widely reported to be around 792-thousand.

Dodge County has five deaths on record and 993 cases, an increase of 11 from Thursday. The county had 192 negative tests returned for a running total of 18,059. Public health officials in Dodge County are actively monitoring 169 people while 578 have recovered.

Washington County has experienced 25 deaths along with 1,403 cases.

Fond du Lac County has eight deaths and 868 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County has reported six deaths and 801 cases.

There have been two deaths in Columbia County where there have been 310 cases.

Green Lake County now has 68 cases.
