Stranded Oklahoma Woman Gets Home Thanks To Waupun Community, Police

(Waupun) An Oklahoma woman stranded in Waupun recently found out just how kind the city’s residents are. Police responded to a business for a report of a 29-year-old Oklahoma woman who was stranded.

She was trying to get back to her home but did not have the means to travel. An officer was able to secure donations for a train ticket for the woman. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office took her to the train station in Columbus.

She was able to get home thanks to donations from the Waupun Food Pantry, Heritage Ridge Travel Plaza, and Waupun Police Officer Aaron Gile.
