(Clyman) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a search for a missing person in the Clyman area. Law enforcement is looking for Crystal Rasch, of rural Clyman. The 37-year-old was last seen on June 11th wearing a black Dells sweatshirt. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says since Rasch was reported missing to law enforcement on the evening of June 23rd, they have been following leads and conducting searches at known addresses. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office through their tip line or by submitting tips through the sheriff’s office app.

(Waupun) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death just south of Waupun. Shortly after 2pm yesterday (Thursday), sheriff’s deputies received a report of a car in the ditch on Highway 151 south of highway 49 in the township of Chester. Upon arrival, a single occupant was located in the car who was deceased. The driver was a 91-year-old man from Waupun. The crash and death remain under investigation by the sheriff’s office. Anyone with information or observed the car in the ditch and did not call to report it, they are asked to contact Lieutenant Brian Loos,

(Rubicon) One person was seriously injured following a motorcycle crash in the township of Rubicon yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. The motorcyclist, a 27-year-old man from Neosho, lost control and overturned his bike on Grant Road around 5:40pm. He was flown from the scene by Flight for Life. Authorities say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash which remains under investigation.

(Waupun) A Waupun man is facing numerous charges after a domestic incident. The city’s police department responded to a physical domestic disturbance at a residence on East Franklin Street around 11:55pm on Wednesday. The 31-year-old was eventually taken into custody at 5:26am yesterday (Thursday) morning, after two residents were able to exit safely during negotiations. Authorities say this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community.   

(Dodge County) Regional jobless claims stayed relatively steady in the fifth month of the year. The state Department of Workforce Development says the unemployment rate in Dodge County was 2.6-percent in May, just a one-tenth of a percent drop from the month prior. Last year, the number was 2.5-percent. Dodge County jumped three spots in the statewide unemployment ranking to seventh.  

(Waupun) Despite being hit with a lot of rainfall last weekend, causing localized flooding, the annual Celebrate Waupun festival will go on as scheduled. The three-day event begins Friday at 4pm with a carnival and a Friday fish fry. Saturday events include a bags tournament, sculpture tours, pier pups dog jumping, and a number of different acts hitting the Horicon Bank Main Stage. There is a car show planned for Sunday which is the final day of Celebrate Waupun.

(Dodge County) The Dodge County Rodeo hits the Dodge County Fairgrounds Saturday night. Fans traveling to the fairgrounds, just outside of Beaver Dam, will be part of history as this is the only rodeo held in Dodge County. The two-hour event – which starts at 7pm – will feature great, pyrotechnics, comedy, and thrilling competition during its schedule of events. The lineup includes bareback bronco riding, saddle bronco, team roping, steer wrestling, and bull riding.
