(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Common Council this week updated its use of American Rescue Plan Act funding. A resolution passed last March designated over $320,000 in APRA dollars to upgrade the LED street lightening as well as costs towards the fire and rescue training center. Grant funding has become available for the LED street lighting project but requires a match that cannot include federal dollars. The council approved reallocating general funds designated for the purchase of the truck towards the matching funds required by the grant. The available ARPA dollars will be used to purchase the chipper truck.ย

The DMVโs Dealer and Agent Section determined that the dealer violated state law when it sold vehicles directly to consumers, rolled back odometers, and falsified title documents when selling vehicles to costumers.ย

UW Extension entomologist PJ Liesch says reducing the amount of skin you have exposed is one of the safest bets. If you are at home, try to stay in a screened area, or if you’re on your deck, bring some fans outside. Mosquitoes have a hard time maneuvering in the breeze. โ WRN
