(Beaver Dam) The ribbon will be cut later this month on the new splash pad installed at Beaver Dam’s Swan Park. The aquatic space features a number of different water features and is part of a larger project to restore Swan Park. The grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held on July 26th. 95.3 WBEV and 1430 ESPN will be on hand for a brat fry that starts at 4pm. A presentation and the ribbon cutting takes place at 5pm which is followed by family activities. The Concerts in the Park series starts at 7pm, featuring the Birddog Blues Band.

(Beaver Dam) The next Movie Under the Stars at Slumberland in Beaver Dam is this Saturday. The movie being shown is the 2021 action-comedy film “Free Guy.” The movie will begin between 8:45pm and 9pm. It is free for the public to attend.

(Beaver Dam) The public is encouraged to attend a program Wednesday at the YMCA of Dodge County that will cover a wide variety of scams. The Beaver Dam Police Department, along with Associated Bank, are collaborating to educate residents on how to best spot scams and to not become a victim. Topics covered include the grandparent scheme, banking fraud, and sweepstakes scams. There will be two programs, one from 11am to 12pm and the other from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. No registration is required. The YMCA of Dodge County is located at 220 Corporate Drive in Beaver Dam.

(Juneau) Dodge County authorities are warning the public of the financial sextortion scam that has hit the area. Victims are scammed into sending explicit images to someone they met online. Once the scammers have the pictures, they threaten to release the content to family and friends unless the victim sends them money. They add that victims of this crime are desperate to stop the offender from sharing their content, with some paying large amounts of money and others sadly committing suicide. The sheriff’s office also included a resource guide created by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program. It is available at DailyDodge.com.

(Columbia County) The Wisconsin State Patrol is planning aerial enforcement in the region in the coming days. Weather permitting, the State Patrol’s Air Support Unit will hit the skies over Interstate 39/90/94 in Columbia County Wednesday. Air units will also be flying over Interstate 41 in Fond du Lac County this Sunday. State Patrol officials say aerial enforcement is one way to enhance public safety efforts.
