(Columbus) The Columbus City Council recently discussed the future of 1400 Park Avenue, more commonly known as the Dingee Farm property. After a development team meeting, City Administrator Lisa Wilson says the house may not be salvaged. Ian Gray suggested the house could be physically relocated. Alder Adam Steiner says a Request for Proposal for the property should be sent to developers around late January to early February. The common council agreed to table their decision on when to send out RFPs to developers until their January 9th meeting.
(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Fire Department responded to an ice related incident on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at Waterworks Park, located at 800 Denning Avenue in Beaver Dam. Authorities say an individual fell through the ice on Beaver Dam Lake. The individual was placed onto a Rapid Deployment Craft around 4:45pm and off the lake at approximately 4:49pm. The individual was then transported to Marshfield Medical Center Beaver Dam via private vehicle. The fire department would like to stress the importance of knowing the depth and quality of ice before venturing out.

Dr. Alan Patterson, founder, and president of Mentorรฉ, will step up to the podium during the ceremony on December 15th. (Beaver Dam) A kickoff meeting for Beaver Damโs Community Action Plan is right around the corner. Residents, businesses, commercial property owners, and community organizations are encouraged to attend. The initiative is part of the cityโs comprehensive plan update that will shape the future of Beaver Dam for the next 10 years. (Beaver Dam) A major project at the Beaver Dam Community Library has begun. Preparatory construction starts this week to replace the buildingโs roof and clerestory window. The goal is to address water leaks, end of life windows, and roof defects. This phase includes reframing and removal of existing roofline windows, followed closely by installation of new windows. The roof phase of the project is scheduled to start in late February and be completed by the end of May.
