(Dodge County) Today is primary election day in Wisconsin and the polls are open [from 7am] until 8pm tonight. The Republican portion of the ticket will see a contested gubernatorial race, a three-way contest for Attorney General, and the only two candidates running for Dodge County sheriff. Because there is no Democrat in the running, we should find out tonight who will lead the department for the next four years, barring a successful write-in campaign. The Democrats section of the ballot has an eight-way race for US Senate. Town of Beaver Dam voters will see a referenda question on their ballot. The township is seeking to exceed revenue limits in perpetuity to fund increased fire and EMS costs as well road maintenance.

Fourteen-percent of Republican primary voters tell the poll they are undecided, while support for Tim Ramthun is at eight-percent. โ€“ WRN

(Dodge County) The Dodge County Clerk is reminding voters that they can only vote for one party while at the polls today. Karen Gibson says it is not required but designating which party you are voting for at the top of your ballot is a good idea and can help election workers if you make a mistake. Gibson notes that voters who have not yet registered to vote can do so at the polls. She says a person only needs to register if they have turned 18, changed names recently or moved since the last election.
