New Ownership At Beaver Dam’s Thirsty Beaver

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Common Council has approved a change in agents for the liquor license at the Thirsty Beaver, which is under new ownership. The bar at 500 Madison Street sparked changes to the city’s noise ordinance after opening as an outdoor music venueIn 2017, several residents across the bay complained to the city about the noise from bands on weekends and the previous owners invested in a variety of technologies to mitigate noise. The primary change to the ordinance was the codification of quiet hours in the city which officially begin at 11pm. The Thirsty Beaver’s Kelly Lepple told city officials Monday night that the establishment would continue as a tavern and music venue and that she is committed to running a good business that conforms to the city’s noise ordinance.
