(Beaver Dam) The new executive director of the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce was our guest recently on WBEV’s Community Comment. Tracy Propst brings over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing in both private and public companies, as well as, a non-profit organization. She spent 22 years as Vice President of Sales with Gehl Foods in Germantown. Propst left a Program and Project Leader position at the Professional Dairy Producers in Juneau and has also done contracted work for the city of Beaver Dam as a Community Development Manager. The Oconomowoc native says her diverse background has prepared her for this position. With commerce at a standstill due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Propst says the chamber and the city have been working together to help the most impacted businesses such as salons, massage parlors, fitness gyms and retailers. She says they have been working with store owners on what resources are available to them. Propst says the chamber plays an important role, promoting community and making the area a great place to live in.
