Beaver Dam High School sophomore McKenna Nelson shot a one over 72 to win medalist honors at the Badger Conference Meet at The Oaks in Cottage Grove on Monday. Nelson was also selected First Team All-Conference, finishing the year with the best scoring average. She won Monday’s round by 2 stokes and the overall for the year by 14. Kamryn Albert shot a 103 good for 27th place. Albert shot a 47 on her first nine which included a birdie on the par 3 5th. Mia Nortman shot a 107 good for a tie for 30th. Ellie Klug also birdied #5 and shot 110 good for a tie for 33rd. Jennifer Bennett shot a 122 good for 37th. Beaver Dam took 6th and finished in that spot for the season. DeForest was the team conference championship. Beaver Dam hosts regionals next Wednesday at Old Hickory.
