(Beaver Dam) Moraine Park Technical College is offering a ‘start your own business’ course. It is designed to teach everything that one needs to know about starting a business, from picking the right opportunity to developing marketing techniques. Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce Director Tracey Propst explains.
“It is a virtual class,” says Propst. “The class is $200, but what makes this great is we have this grant that was received by Compeer Financial and will cover $150 of the cost.”
The class is part of a five part series that runs from January 16th to March 16th. Propst hopes the class encourages young entrepreneurs.
“We do want to encourage entrepreneurs in our community,” Propst says. “And so, if you want to take the classes, you’ve explored a business idea, you know, we’ll partner in that and help you explore that idea a little bit further.”
