Motorists Identified In Fatal Ashippun Wreck

5/19/17 – Authorities have identified the motorist killed Wednesday after his vehicle collided with a semi in the town of Ashippun. John G. Armentrout of Juneau was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that occurred around 8:40am at the intersection of Highway 67 and Town Road MM. The preliminary investigation shows that Armentrout was westbound on MM when his vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by a northbound semi with a box trailer. The 28-year-old Armentrout was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. The semi burst into flames shortly after impact, went off the east side of the roadway and struck several trees before stopping. The driver of the semi, 51-year-old Kimberly Jacobs of Chilton, was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Aurora Hospital in Summit. The crash remains under investigation.
