Missing Man And His Child Found Safe By Fond Du Lac Authorities

(Lamartine) A missing 24-year-old and his four-month-old infant were located safe Friday by Fond du Lac County authorities. Sheriff’s officials say a woman along with her friend Jordan and his child, Serenity, were in a vehicle involved in a minor crash into a ditch on Brown Road in the Town of Lamartine around 10:30pm Thursday. Jordan and his baby left the vehicle and walked into a marshy area and the woman lost sight of them a short time later. After being unable to contact Jordan on his cellphone, she called authorities. Deputies responded to the scene and immediately began searching the area. They located an empty car seat, in a wooded area north of the crash. By 10am Friday, an intensive ground and aerial search was underway. Just over an hour later, the sheriff’s office announced that both Jordan and Serenity were found safe at an address in the City of Fond du Lac. Sheriff Roger Waldschmidt extended his appreciation to the over 100 emergency personnel from multiple agencies who participated in the search. He also thanked all the citizens who provided tips and information. The circumstances surrounding the crash and what occurred after are being investigated by the sheriff’s office. Waldschmidt says no other information will be released at this time.
