Neshkoro Man Sentenced To Jail On Fleeing Charge

(Iron Ridge) A Neshkoro man who ran from Iron Ridge police was sentenced Friday to 90 days in jail with work release privileges. Robert Schuster entered a no contest plea to a felony count of Fleeing stemming from the incident in July of 2020. An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and turned on their emergency lights. The vehicle then speed away at a high rate of speed with police losing sight of it at the intersection of County Road WS and Highway 67. The officer then saw the vehicle hit an embankment east of Highway 67, travel across both northbound and southbound lanes and crash into some nearby woods. Schuster was identified as the driver and said he ran because he did not want to go back to jail. The 27-year-old was also placed on probation for three-and-a-half years.
