(BEAVER DAM) Meta’s point person for the Beaver Dam AI data center speaks to the Common Council Monday night. Interest is expected to be high. Matt Sexton is Meta’s community development manager in Wisconsin and Iowa. Meta is building a $1 billion AI data center in Beaver Dam.
While supporters say the data center will bring hundreds of construction and technology jobs to the area, critics are concerned about pollution, the water supply, energy bills, and nearby property values and quality of life.
The Common Council meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Common Council chambers on the second floor of Beaver Dam City Hall.
