(LOWELL) Drivers heading through the Town of Lowell faced delays Monday morning after a crash on State Highway 16/60 sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries.
Deputies say it happened just after 6:30 a.m., when a Subaru Outback crossed the center line and hit a Ford F-550 coming the other way. The truck was towing a trailer loaded with a mini excavator at the time.
The Subaruโs driver โ a man from Watertown โ was flown to Froedtert Hospital. The pickup driver, from Fond du Lac, was taken to Marshfield Medical CenterโBeaver Dam with minor injuries.
The highway was shut down for several hours while emergency crews responded, but it has since reopened.

Investigators are still piecing together what caused the Subaru to cross the center line.
