(Mayville) The Mayville Police Department has concluded its investigation into a threat complaint made towards a school district building. Authorities say the threat complaint was received on September 20th via the FBI from an anonymous source that raised concerns about safety of the Mayville Junior and Senior High School.
In conjunction with the FBI and the Mayville School District, the police department conducted a thorough investigation to ensure the safety and security of students and staff of the high school.
Following extensive inquiries and collaboration with relevant authorities, it has been determined that there is no credible threat to the safety and security of students and staff.
Officials with the Mayville Police Department say appropriate referrals have been made concerning the individuals involved in the incident. They add that this situation emphasizes their commitment to school safety and encourages anyone with concerns to report issues directly to the police department or the Mayville School District.
