May 15 Tornado Damage Tallied

(JUNEAU) There’s a dollar amount on the damage done by tornadoes the night of May 15. Local and federal officials say the damage total is at least $57 million. Most of that, about $50 million, was in Mayville. It’s hard to know what the actual number will eventually be because government officials likely won’t get all the information about damage done to private property.
