According to news reports, Dane County deputies arrested Gunderson, 36, on Dec. 29 after a domestic-related call. Later that same night, deputies were called to the same home a second time when he allegedly violated a no-contact order that was issued during the first call.

According to deputies, Gunderson evaded arrest and returned to his own home, where a long standoff ensued. Deputies reported hearing a gunshot at one point. After several hours of negotiations, Gunderson surrendered to deputies.

Court records show Gundersonย lives in Windsor. Heย owned an American Family agency at 1748ย N. Spring Street in Beaver Dam. An American Family spokesperson confirmed to Daily Dodge that Gunderson is no longer an American Family agent. Customers have been sent letters informing them that their policies are now being handled by another agent.
