Heiar Insurance and Estate Planning alongside Apache Stainless Equipment have funded two Leadership Beaver Dam Scholarships for the upcoming 2018/2019 Class. The program is geared towards people who work or live in the Beaver Dam community who are looking to become the next generation of community leaders. The classes meet from September through May, following the public-school year, and are a full day once month. The scholarship is available for anyone of Latino heritage within the community. The scholarship covers the $550 cost of the class and requires the commitment of the participant to attend day long sessions on the second Wednesday of each month September through May. If more than two applications are received the Leadership Beaver Dam Committee will review the applications and award scholarships to the two best candidates.
