(Hubbard) Cash bond has been set at $10,000 for an Iron Ridge man charged with his 8th Offense Operating While Under the Influence. The charges filed against Dennis Grosenick stem from an incident on November 11th.
A sheriffโs deputy responded to the township of Hubbard just after 8pm for a report of a man passed out in a vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway. According to the complaint, it was running and the brake lights were on. A deputy put the vehicle in park and noticed a strong odor of intoxicants.
The driver, reportedly identified as Grosenick, had slurred speech and appeared confused. He allegedly refused a field sobriety test as well as a preliminary breath test and was taken into custody for OWI. Authorities say when they searched the vehicle, they found an open bottle of liquor that was three-quarters full.
Grosenick did perform a breath test at the jail which reportedly returned a reading of point-one-five-five (.155). The 71-year-old has OWI convictions dating back to 1994 to as recent as 2012. If convicted, Grosenick faces up to 12 years in prison. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 22nd.
