(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam’s Rotary Park and Tower Lot are seeing some improvements. City Administrator Nathan Theil says the park is currently under construction.
“The main purpose of that improvements…the park and the downtown…you’ve got the Tower lot, and you got some musical instruments…you’ve got the riverwalk and the two bridges…[at] Rotary Park there’s a wall that was starting to tip into the river,” says Theil. “It’s been on the council’s mind to improve that for some time.”
The project will also include the reconstruction of the parking lot, the sidewalk, curb and gutter, asphalt pavement, storm sewer, and lighting.
Theil says the project was slated to start earlier this year but was pushed back due to the amount of rainfall. He notes that the Tower parking lot access will be limited throughout the construction period. Work is expected to be completed by late September, weather permitting.
