The Hustisford boys basketball team heads to Monticello on Saturday night for a WIAA Division Five Sectional Final. The tip is set for 7pm.
Husty (15-3) advanced to the Sectional Final with a 82-28 blowout of Stockbridge on Thursday night. Senior Dylan Kuehl pumped in 33 points to lead the Falcons to victory. Husty was ranked #1 in the final Wissports.net Division 5 Coaches Poll.
Monticello (Overall:17-3, Six Rivers East: 9-0) was ranked #2 in the final Wissports.net Division 5 Coaches Poll behind Husty but was still awarded the #1 seed in the Sectional. The Ponies won the Six Rivers East Conference and advanced to the Sectional Final with a 59-55 win over Shullsburg on Thursday night. Senior Peter Gustufson leads the team averaging 26.6 points and 7 rebounds per game.
