(Horicon) The public is welcomed to an open house to check on the progress of the referendum construction at the Horicon high school and elementary building. Last spring, voters approved a $22.9-million-dollar question to building a new elementary school next to the high school where secure entrances are being installed. Residents also approved spending $3.9-million dollars to address infrastructure needs at the junior/senior high school. District Superintendent Rich Apple and other school board members will be in attendance for the open house. Work is slated for completion by the third week of August next year. The in progress open house will be on Monday (December 30th) from 5 to 7pm at the Horicon Jr/Sr High School on 841 Gray Street.
