(Juneau) A training session has been scheduled for January for those seeking a Wisconsin Beef Quality Assurance Certification. The voluntary program assists in raising, feeding, and harvesting high quality beef. By participating in the program and adopting Beef Quality Assurance production practices, beef producers are helping to answer the call from the consumers for safe beef raised in a humane manner. Since January of 2019, buyers representing large packers and processors are only purchasing from farms that are Beef Quality Assurance or FARM Certified. The next scheduled training is Tuesday January 14th at the Extension Dodge County Administration Building in Juneau. Cost for the in person training session is $15. Registration and fee is due no later than Friday January 10. Registration forms can be picked up at the extension office or by calling 920-386-3790.
