Beaver Dam High School has named Mary Helegmoe as their new cross country coach.
“I am excited to announce Mary Helgemoe will be taking over as our new Head Cross Country
Coach at Beaver Dam High School for the upcoming 2024 fall season. Mary has been an
integral part of Beaver Dam High School, serving in a number of capacities that include being
the Head Track and Field Coach as well as being the Assistant Cross Country Coach. Mary is a
fantastic communicator, organizer, and mentor for student athletes and is a capable and
trusted member of our school community. She fits everything that we are looking for in
coaches at Beaver Dam; she has high expectations, operates with a high level of integrity and
character, and puts our students first. I trust her to provide a first class experience for our kids
and create a seamless transition for our cross country program. Mary is a terrific person to
lead and coordinate our program as we plan to host the 2024 Badger Large Conference Cross
Country Meet later this season.
Mary is a consummate professional, a true ambassador for Beaver Dam athletics, and a trusted
and valued member of our learning community. I look forward to continuing to work with
