Ground Broken On New Beaver Dam Middle School

(BEAVER DAM) Work has started on the new Beaver Dam Middle School. District leaders and city officials gathered to break ground Wednesday at the site of the new building.

The 60-acre property is on the city’s south side, east of Highway G and north of Highway 151. The new facility will allow for more spacious classrooms, collaborative spaces for physical education, and a fitness center.

School District Superintendent Mark DiStefano says the new middle school will be an asset to the community.

“It will be a place where students are inspired to learn…where teachers have tools to innovate…and where families feel proud to call this their school,” says DiStefano.

Beaver Dam Middle School Principal Brandon Krause says the new school represents possibility for students.

“These future classrooms, labs, arts and athletics facilities, and learning spaces will be places where curiosity comes alive…where questions lead to discoveries…and where every student can find their spark,” says Krause.

The project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2027. Last fall, district voters approved a $107-million dollar referendum that paved the way for the new middle school.
