Giving 100 to Choose From Three More Nonprofits

(BEAVER DAM) Three area non-profits will vie for a 75-hundred dollar grant at next week’s Giving 100 event in Beaver Dam. They are – Playground Movement, the Dodge County Pregnancy Support Center, and Church Health Services. The Giving 100 group pools 100 dollars each, four times a year, and awards one grant each quarter. In February, the Giving 100 group selected Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

“When you think about it, $40,000 a year is going back into nonprofits, which is huge, and not something usually one single person can do,” said Melanie Budde of the Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation. “It’s a very neat thing to get involved in, and to meet other like-minded people who want to give back to the Community.”

There is room for 20 more donors to get involved. The next event is Tuesday, May 12. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. and presentations begin at 6 p.m. at the Beaver Dam Area Community Theatre.
