Gas Prices Vary By Region In State, Beaver Dam Gas Averages $3.19

(Beaver Dam) You will pay more than three dollars for a gallon of regular gas anywhere in the state. Nick Jarmusz with Triple-A Wisconsin says prices are mainly market driven – transportation costs factor in as well. He says prices are much lower in the eastern and southern parts of the state, and pretty significantly higher in the northern and western part of the state. Jarmusz adds that the transportation cost, of getting it from the refineries . . . to the actual station where you go to fill up, isn’t insignificant.

As of Friday, prices Wisconsin gas prices ranged from just over $3 to around $3.25 per gallon, for an average of $3.11. Beaver Dam’s gas averages $3.19 which is the same in Juneau and Horicon. The average in Waupun is $3.08, it is $3.14 in Mayville, and $3.12 in Fox LakeThe national average was nearly $3.40 a gallon.

The Biden administration last week authorized the release of strategic oil reserves – the first time that’s ever been done solely in response to high gasoline prices.
