Fox Lake Man Accused Of Assaulting Multiple Minors

(Fox Lake) A Fox Lake man is accused of assaulting minors across several decades. Perry Nelson is facing multiple felonies including First and Second-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child, Child Sexual Exploitation, Child Enticement, Trafficking of a Child, and Attempted First-Degree Child Sexual Assault.

Authorities first began investigating Nelson in March after learning of possible sexual abuse. They allegedly learned that Nelson assaulted the victim, who was 15-years-old at the time, on numerous occasions between November of 2020 and March of 2021. The victim reportedly told law enforcement that Nelson recorded these acts and asked her if he could send the videos to others in exchange for money.

The investigation also revealed that Nelson had inappropriate contact with a second victim between 2015 and 2017, according to the complaint. This victim was roughly eight or nine years old. Nelson also allegedly assaulted another minor between 1992 and 1995 in Dodge County.

If convicted, the 56-year-old faces up to 314-and-a-half years behind bars. An initial appearance is scheduled for July 25th.
