(Fox Lake) Fox Lake Mayor Tom Bednarek and City Administrator Kelly Crombie have set a goal to create more single-family housing in the city. Crombie says the city recently bought 62 acres of land for future development and growth.
“We’ve had a lot of luck in multi-family [homes] and we need to get some single family [homes] going,” says Crombie. “And single families, you know, these are gonna be decent sized lots and I think that’s something that Fox Lake and Dodge County as a whole are missing right now on the market.”
Mayor Tom Bednarek agrees and says the next step is getting the infrastructure in place.
“That’s really our number one project just to get that situated,” Bednarek says. “And infrastructure nowadays is so costly and that and that’s why if we can work with the county on some of the stuff off of what they collect on that.”
Bednarek notes that they have contractors willing and ready to build as soon as they have the infrastructure.
