Fond Du Lac Woman Accused Of Causing $50K In Damages To Watertown Home

(Watertown) A Fond du Lac woman is accused of breaking into a home in Watertown and causing over $50-thousand-dollars in damage. Alyssa Cruz is facing felony counts of Burglary and Criminal Damage to Property.

Watertown police were called to the home in April after the property owner reported that their residence was ransacked. The victim reportedly identified Cruz as the culprit. According to the complaint furniture, mirrors, and T.V.’s were smashed, pots and pans were emptied out of cabinets, and a section of a fence was damaged.

When questioned by law enforcement, Cruz allegedly said she was angry but not with the victim. If convicted, the 33-year-old faces up to 16 years in prison. An initial appearance is scheduled for September 12th.
