(Dodge County) Dodge County vehicle sales continue to lag behind neighboring counties. According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg Trak, there have been a total of 931 car and light truck sales in Dodge County in the first four months of 2022, 167 less than in 2022 or a decrease of 15-percent. Car sales were down five-and-a-half-percent while truck sales dropped just over 16-percent. In Columbia County, auto sales saw an increase of nearly three-percent with 703 vehicles rolling off dealer lots through the end of April. Car sales in Columbia County were up over one-percent while truck sales jumped by just over three-percent. Jefferson County dealers sold 759 vehicles, which is 58 more than they did last year by this time for an increase of eight-percent. Car sales in Jefferson County were up 18-percent while trucks sales increased by nearly seven-percent. For the nine-county, South Central Wisconsin Region, there were 12,465 vehicles sold, 681 more than by this time last year, a five-percent increase. Truck sales in the region were up four-and-a-half-percent while car sales jumped 13-percent.
