(PORTAGE) A home in Columbia County was destroyed by fire on Christmas Day, the Portage Fire Department announced Thursday. Officials said the call came in around 12 p.m. Thursday from Hogan Road in the Town of Fort Winnebago. No people were home at the time of the fire, however, three animals were discovered dead in the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.
