Fire Damages Randolph Home

11/7/17 – A Randolph family was displaced following a weekend fire. It happened around 3pm on Sunday at the Jeff and Brenda Menke residence at 220 Williams Street. Chief Bruce Miller says crews arrived on scene to find flames visible from the front windows and porch. The fire was contained in about 10-to-15 minutes. Fire damage was limited to the main floor while the second floor of the wood frame house suffered smoke damage. There were no injuries though a cat did perish in the blaze. The cause remains under investigation. Miller says the damage was extensive but the home is repairable and the family is currently staying at a place in town. The scene was cleared after approximately three hours. Randolph Fire received mutual assistance from Randolph Police and EMS, Town of Fox Lake Police and the Fox Lake Fire Department.
