Fifth Dodge County Resident Dies From COVID-19

(Dodge County) A fifth person in Dodge County has died from coronavirus. Wisconsin health officials recorded nine more deaths Wednesday bringing that number to 712. State health officials are reporting an increase of 256 cases of COVID-19 in Wednesday’s daily update. The seven-day average is 266 daily infections. There are 23,454 people now having tested positive.

Two-point-six-percent (2.6%) of the 9,400 tests administered came back positive Wednesday, compared to 2.4-percent Tuesday. Deaths accounted for three-percent of all cases in Wisconsin while 13-percent of those known to have contracted the virus needed to be hospitalized.

In addition to its fifth recorded death, Dodge County has 425 cases, an increase of one from Tuesday. The county had 73 negative tests returned for a running total of 8,162.

Washington County now has 12 deaths and 299 positive tests.

Fond du Lac County has six deaths on record and 274 positive tests to date.

Jefferson County has four deaths and 161 cases.

There has been one death in Columbia County and 59 positive cases.

Green Lake County has 24 cases.
