(Lewiston) Some details are coming to light after a woman died jumping from a moving vehicle in Columbia County but authorities are still investigating the incident. Just after 4am Sunday, 22-year-old Taylor Ninnemann jumped from a moving car in the Township of Lewiston. First responders tried reviving Ninnemann on the way to the hospital but she was later pronounced deceased.
Sheriff Roger Brandner says the initial investigation shows that Ninnemann died from blunt force trauma to the head likely from striking the pavement. He says investigators are still waiting for the autopsy and toxicology reports.
Twenty-four-year-old Jeremiah Collins of Madison, who was identified as the driver of the vehicle involved in the incident, was arrested for OWI but has been released from jail. Brandner asks anyone who saw Collins or Ninnemann this past weekend to contact the lead detective at Sgt. Leda Wagner at 608-742-4166.
