(Beaver Dam) There is a farewell open house scheduled later this month for Beaver Dam Mayor Becky Glewen. At the end of December, Glewen announced her pending resignation as mayor after accepting a position as the new administrator for Trempealeau County. Glewen’s last day will be February 1st.
She has served as mayor since April 2017. Prior to that she served on the city council and also the Dodge County Board. Glewen touts her downtown revitalization efforts, championing new housing development, and securing funding for significant park improvements as significant accomplishments during her tenure.
The open house is on January 24th from 5pm to 7pm at the Beaver Dam Area Community Chamber Office at 127 South Spring Street. The event is open to the entire public.
