(Fall River) A Columbia County judge found probable cause Wednesday for a Fall River man to proceed to trial on charges of eighth offense Operating While Intoxicated. Michael Ormosen reportedly had two drinks at a Fall River bar before hopping on his motorcycle. The 45-year-old allegedly accelerated rapidly before driving the bike into a car parked on North Main Street. The car apparently belonged to the bartender who served him. Ormosen fell off the motorcycle before fleeing on foot. He was taken into custody at his residence after officers ordered him to surrender. Ormosen, who was ordered to maintain absolute sobriety as a condition of bond, reportedly failed a field sobriety test. If convicted, he faces up to 12 years in prison. Ormosen will be arraigned in December.
