(Beaver Dam) The state of Wisconsin has revoked the dealer license for nine Beaver Dam area wholesalers for violating the law. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Division of Motor Vehicles issued the order against six of the dealers for failing to maintain a licensed business facility.
Another dealer had its license revoked for selling motor vehicles directly to retail customers and for falsifying title documents.
Two other wholesaler licenses were revoked for failing to maintain a dealer bond. Wisconsin law requires wholesale dealers to carry a security bond to ensure if they commit illegal actions, such as rolling back an odometer or making an illegal sale, a consumer may file a claim against their bond to recoup money lost.
The DOT lists seven of the dealers at 1645 North Spring Street, one dealer at 822 Park Avenue, and another at N5876 Highway 12.
The decision to revoke the licenses was affirmed by a hearing examiner on August 22nd. Each dealer had 30 days to appeal the decision. No appeals were filed, and the revocations became final on September 21st.
