Dodge County Vehicle Sales Through August Dip When Compared to 2022

(Dodge County) Vehicle sales in Dodge County have fallen when compared to last year’s numbers. According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there have been 1,870 cars and light trucks sold in Dodge County through the first eight months of the year, 136 fewer than last year by this time, a decrease of six-percent. Car sales did see an increase, just over seven-percent over 2022 while truck sales dropped eight-percent.
Jefferson County sales were up 14-percent with 1,632 sold, compared to 1,427 through August of last year. Car sales in the county jumped eight-percent while trucks sales increased 15-percent.
Columbia County saw 1,710 vehicles roll off dealer lots compared to the 1,399 during the same timeframe in 2022, a jump of 22-percent. Car sales were up 10-percent while truck sales increased 23-percent.
For the nine-county, south central Wisconsin region as a whole, vehicle sales were up 15-percent with 27-thousand sold, 3,605 more than last year. Car sales increased 20-percent, truck sales jumped by 14-percent.
