(Dodge County) Dodge County vehicle sales continue to see improvement over last year’s numbers.
According to the Waterloo-based industry tracking firm Reg-Trak, there have been a total of 960 car and light truck sales in Dodge County in the first four months of 2023, 39 more than last year or an increase of 4.2-percent. Car sales were up nearly eight-percent while truck sales jumped 3.8-percent.
In Columbia County, auto sales saw an increase of 2.6-percent with 811 vehicles rolling off dealer lots through the end of April. Car sales in Columbia County were up over 15-percent while truck sales saw a modest increase of 1.3-percent. Jefferson County dealers sold 818 vehicles, which is 69 more than they did last year by this time for an increase of 9.2-percent. Car sales in the county increased by nearly six-percent while truck sales jumped by 9.6-percent.
For the nine-county, South Central Wisconsin Region as a whole, there were 13,648 vehicles sold, 787 more than by this time last year, a six-percent increase. Truck sales in the region were up 7.3-percent while car sales saw a 1.4-percent decrease.
